There is a tricky question in the install procedure and you
missed the trick.  It thinks all your machines are named LOCALHOST
so it cannot find the machine specific files under the real names.
In $AIPS_ROOT, edit the files LOGIN.SH and LOGIN.CSH.  Change
Change the LAPTOP line from YES to NO.  Things then should work.
