When AIPS first starts it does not have a user number so it assumes 1.
The message says that the pre-existing message file for user 1 has
permissions that do not allow you to write to it.  The fact that you can
keep running without visible error means that you are in the allowed
groups in some way or other.  To fix this message, look at the startup messages you
did not include to see the pathname of your first data area.  Then change
the permissions on the  MSD001000.001;  file to allow anyone to write to it.
That may take an IT guy (with root privilege) depending on who "owns"
this rather public file.
