I tried again withICHANSEL=0, and the results suggest that having ICHANSEL non-zero when using smoothing is a verybad idea. The attached shows the original PD table (green) overplotted with the PD table generated with ICHANSEL=0 (yellow). They are identical across the inner band, but outside the ICHANSEL range both amplitude and phase show spurious jumps. In the case of spectral data with lots of channels, it seems that it would be better to be able to fit a smoother function (e.g., a low-order polynomial) rather than trying to smooth out the data before fitting. For now though I think I will ignore this correction given the narrow band.LynnLynn
