The first issue: some process, which may be long gone fromyour computer has locked the accounting file.  Since youare unlikely to care about its contents, cd to the $DA00area (usually $AIPS_ROOT/DA00/).mv AC* ACfile.savecd $AIPS_ROOT. LOGIN.SH$CDTSTRUN FILAIP6 2This will make a new AC file.The second issue:  type aips tv=local:0which will get a new instance of the TV and message serversfor each aips window.  The :0 is needed to get a new one ratherthan using an existing one.Note I read Chapetr 2 of the CookBook to make sure this iswhat is needed.  The man aips command also should work.Eric Greisen
