I assume you mean the Tek window even though the text of yourmessage says tv.  I also assume you are on a Mac.  We discoveredrecently that the Mac (not Linux) version has this "feature".The Tek function runs in an xterm window and the emulation actuallyhas 2 windows.  The first is some sort of control window and the second,when TKPL or TKSLICE is invoked, is the plot window.  When aips starts,the first window should be in icon form.  If you leave it in that form onMacs, then when TKPL runs the plot does not appear (although TKPLis happy and thinks everything is good).  So on Macs, one mustclick on that icon, causing it to disappear.  Then when TKPL runs theplot will appear.  This feels "magical" but that is what we found.  OnLinux, the first window can sit as an icon or be opened with no effecton the TK functions.Eric Greisen
