A little more info about what - this is the first time I've heard from you since you found all those files owned by root.Are you compiling AIPS locally rather than using the binary installation?  We have a RedHat 6 machine for mostLinux things.  RedHat 7 is making people very unhappy around here.Perhaps if you are using the binary installation you may have to compile locally if you have a recent version of gfortran.I am surprised that the libraries are calling for so many versions of GLIBC and that you do not have them.Eric Greisen
