The problem is the units of the image.  They must be m/s not km/s.
Use RESCALE with FACTOR 1000 - then GAL gives reasonable results with 
'EX' or 'BR'.  Your rotation curve is quite unusual - it climbs more or 
less linearly, flattens or even drops a bit and then climbs again quite 
steeply.  That last part is unusual and you should examine things verty 
closely to see if it is real.
