I have installed AIPS on a networked file system and am having trouble with my first-time login. After typing an AIPS number I am getting errors as follows if I simply hit "return" on the command prompt:

ZLOCK: Function not implemented
 ZMSGER: ON FILE DA01:MSD03F000.03F;                            
 ZMSGER: IN ZDAOPN ERRNO = 38 (Function not implemented)
MSGWRT ERROR      6 AT OPEN                                            
AIPS 1:

On first login (before AIPS number) I am getting similar (Function not implemented) messages.

It almost seems like I don't have write permission in the data directory, although I can see that I do have permission in /lakitu/data/aips/DATA/LOCALHOST_1/D00/ as when I log in to AIPS with a new AIPS number it does make new CAD and MSD files in there, owned by me.

However, in the error message above it is referencing DA01 not DA00; perhaps there is something not quite connected right.

Any advice appreciated.
