Given that RLDLY works fine much of the time I do not know what to do with it
for you. If you can make a data set before RLDLY but after the rest of the
calibration available - preferably not too large - I could experiment. It looks
to me as if you simply lack S/N to get good solutions in the lower IFs and that you
get good solutions in IFs 5-8. Have you considered having RLDLY combine IFs
into a smaller number of solutions? Since you give me plots only after RLDLY I
cannot judge whether that would be the thing to do. For the VLA we often
combine IFs - either all or in halves - for better S/N. The fact that you allow S/N
as low as 2 is a clue that you are mucking about in low S/N.
