I do not know what the mistake could be but the message above says that 
it wants to write 1861 pixels starting at pixel 980.  Your TV (monitor) 
then has to be larger than 2840 pixels in the X direction.  When you 
start AIPS it tells you how big the XAS display is - so you can see what 
it thinks it is using.  How big did you make IMSIZE?  WIPER works best 
when IMSIZE is less than the full TV.
