Is there any simple way to blank a select range of channels in a data cube and write out a new cube of the same dimensions as the original?

OPCODE 'FIXW' in BLANK sounds like it should do this, but in practice it writes out an unblanked cube of dimensions ECHAN-BCHAN+1.
