I think it might be impossible to figure out why the Tsys became negative for HN since this is from so long ago.  It might be that in the early days of doing the Tsys through the RDBE so there were bugs.

I looked at the Tsys for the legacy system which was still in place at the time and they look OK, so I assume that the data for HN is actually OK.  I think the best work around for this is to use the Tsys measurements from the legacy system for HN.  You can do this by getting the bc204acal.vlba file and extracting the Tsys for HN, then you need to add an INDEX line (see EXPLAIN ANTAB for details on INDEX lines) to tell ANTAB what Tsys to assign to what IF.   Since the legacy system does not have as many BBCs as the PFB you will probably have to assign single Tsys columns to multiple BBCs, if  you have trouble with the INDEX line, don't hesitate to ask.  Then load the Tsys with ANTAB.
