Eric,

We setup the IFs that way to avoid band-edge problems.    What surprises me is that we've use this setup many times before without problem.

As for adverbs:
1) manual phase cal

    dparm[8] = 1
    aparm = 0
    TIMERANGE: [0, 6, 56, 25, 0, 6, 57, 23]          ! this is a good source for manual phase cal
 
then CLCAL, and then
2) multi-band fit

    timer = 0
    aparm=3,0,1,1,2
    docal = 1
    gainuse = 0
