There are a variety of issues here
1. The first UV data set is a multiple source data set - try SPLIT to
select the one source in the other data set.
2. The second data set has the frequency axis going in the opposite
direction and its channels are about but not exactly twice as wide
3. Also the GMRT is circular polarization (STOKES -1, -2) and the ATCA
is linear (STOKES -5, -6)
Are you doing continuum or spectral line observations? In either case,
use STOKES='I' with each to make the same polarization. SPLIT will also
average channels so you can make channels twice as wide from the first -
so close to the second - quite simply. task BLOAT will make a data set
with more channels (new ones flagged) to get back to 512. Task SPECR
may also make the channelization of the two look similar. Perhaps the
task you need is UVFRE which tries to make one data set look like
another. First SPLIT to make I polarization and single source. Then
you can try to make the first look like the second or vice versa and
then DBCON might work.
