I put this prohibition in ANTAB since the keyin data file
does not specify subarray anywhere.  We could remove it
and then all data in the keyin file will be assigned to the
SUBARRAY specified.  

Does your data set start with > 1 subarray or do you get
multiple subarrays from DBCON or USUBA?  Are some of the
antennas in both subarrays?  (Astrometric data actually have
only one set of antennas, but they are broken into subarrays
since they observe multiple sources at the same time.)
