[daip] Installing aips on a mac

The same cannot happen if you cd $AIPS_ROOT and do ./START_AIPS

Something else can go wrong but not that.

As to the "aips command not found"  do an echo $PATH and also
try  to find out what $SYSLOCAL is (you may have to do a $CDTST after 
the ". LOGIN.SH" (not sh LOGIN.SH)
