Hi Eric,

Thanks for the reply. I like to keep a text installation on my laptop for occasional tinkering. Thanks for the information about the compiler issues, I'll take a look at some of the options and see if I can come up with anything that will work. If that fails I'll probably just resort to using a copy of gfortran 4.4.7 to get me going.
