Hi,

I've just installed a copy of the 31DEC15 text version of AIPS and have run into some problems with IMAGR. To begin with, following the installation, when attempting to run IMAGR it would repeatedly print 'IMAGR1: UVWAIT U, V, NR, WT <= 0 86 228 5177680 0.0000E+00' (with the middle three numbers changing constantly) until it saturated my message window and then my konsole window and then would crash. As a temporary fix, I managed to track down the msgwrt call this is associated with in UVWAIT. I commented this out and recompiled all associated tasks. The message no longer prints, however IMAGR is still crashing. As an example this was the message output from my last attempt:

localh> IMAGR1: Create M82 .IMAGR . 1 (UV) on disk 1 cno 10
localh> IMAGR1: Beginning channel 1 through 1 with 8 IFs
localh> IMAGR1: IMACPY: found 40578681. of 40917280. possible channels
localh> IMAGR1: IMACPY: average frequency is then 4990.469 MHz

localh> IMAGR1: Field 1 Sum of gridding weights = 0.00000E+00
localh> IMAGR1: Field 1 Beam min = 100.0 Exa Jy, max = 0.0 Jy
localh> IMAGR1: FITBM: SOLUTION FOR RESTORING BEAM FAILED
localh> IMAGR1: Fit Gaussian FWHM = 407.863 x 407.863 Microarcsec, PA= 45.0
localh> IMAGR1: BEAM HISTOGRAM PATHOLOGICAL - DEALING WITH IT
localh> IMAGR1: CLBHIS: minimum component 0.500 of current peak
localh> IMAGR1: Field 1 use FWHM= 1.000 x 1.000 Milliarcsec, PA= 0.0
localh> IMAGR1: ZABORS: signal 11 received
localh> IMAGR1: ABORT!

I know the data is perfectly fine (I've imaged this before using a 31DEC13 text install version of IMAGR) and I've also tested a couple of different bits of data, which also fail with similar issues.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Danielle
