Try looking in the /tmp area on the computer on which
you are running AIPS.  Is it possible that there are
"files" names LOK.n.hostname, XAS.n.hostname, 
MSS.n.hostname, and tKS.n.hostname already present.
Do an ls -l to see the ownership.  It is possible that
you are trying to use such socket files belonging to
someone else.   These sockets can be left behind
when one closes AIPS and the TV, message and Tek
servers with a "kill -9" (such as clicking on the kill
button in the upper right of the terminal window)
