Hi Eric,

I realized I have an old MacBook Pro with similar software, so I installed AIPS there and the TV window works on that screen. Annoying side effect is that all X-windows stick to the top left corner of the desktop and do not allow me to move them, but at least the TV is there. I checked the outputs that you asked for, and noticed some differences.

On the old MacBook (with working TV display):
> aips tv=local
