ROAM is implemented by allowing scroll which applies to
all TV memories and all graphics overlay planes and
also split screen which means that different TV pixels
are actually in different TV memories. This is very tricky
to deal with. A few verbs in AIPS can handle a TV in
a roamed state, but many others refuse to try to function
when the TV is in that state. SPFLG/TVFLG/FTFLG are
very complex tasks that have to mark pixels in TV memory
and also on the disk work file. They do all sorts of labeling
in the graphics overlays and so forth. Furthermore, the
smoothed display is often quite useful. So I do not plan
to consider roam further.

I will take a look at a menu option to "load next piece" in
which the task will take care of the windowing, preferably with
some overlap between pieces. This will save having to load a
smoothed image and then select a window to load unsmoothed.
