Glad to know I didn't dream the appearance of the "fixed" status.

For the analysis I am working on now, I can imagine that an option to fix parameters would be nice. The reason is that I am dealing with complex line profiles where I have components of know velocity that are spectrally blended with other components. However, I don't know if my usage of the program is atypical.

For a fixing option to truly be useful, it would have to allow the flexibility for the user to control which of the three fit parameters remain fixed. So I can certainly imagine this could create a lot of additional complexity. 

Could an option to fix parameters be tied in with "HAND"? For example, allowing a total of six numbers per line, where the last three entries indicate true/false for fixing height, position, and width during the next "DO FIT"?
