Thanks! I've got it working now, having done a little trial and error before returning to check on the status of this ticket. I had been using shmall=8192 although I upped it in the incarnation that works, along with increasing the shmmax. Is there a danger in having any of these (including the "shmmni" and "shmseg") too high?
