The WTNOISE and SUMWTIN look very bizarre - but I think you have your 
adverbs messed up.  The channel 1 through 1 with 8 IFs means that you 
averaged channel 1 frmm each of the IFs not what your initial words seem 
to imply.  Say you have 64 channels.  The adverbs should be bchan=1; 
echan =64; nchavg=64; bif=1; eif = 1.  You must run it 8 times once for 
each IF.
