First - CASA may be preferred by management and it is good to
help debug that project.  Many users however prefer to use
AIPS from the beginning.

The PGN portion in TYAPL is frequently useful for 3-bit data.
The 64 "IFs" or spectral windows are NOT 64 FREQIDs.  There
might be separate FREQIDs if your data set included some 
observations at e.g. 4-5 GHz for a few hours followed by some
at 7-8 GHz at later hours.  FREQIDs are for data taken at different
times or such different frequencies/setups etc that they really
must be calibrated/flagged separately.

Run PRTAB on the FQ table - if there is more than 1 row in that table
then you have more than one FREQID (but do not confuse the 64 lines
of print for the first row for multiple rows).
