Hi
I am trying to reduce recent VLA data with 3bit correlator configuration using AIPS. (I know CASA is the software of choice here. We have processed these data with CASA, but we would like to compare its results with AIPS).

I am following the AIPS cookbook recommendations (appendix E), but I am stuck at using TYAPL with OPTYPE='PGN', which apparently should be applied to 3bit data.

I understand that once this is applied, I will get a new uv dataset with the necessary SysPower corrections and FG table applied (which is good, since I have so many flags now from RFLAG that TVFLG refuses to swallow the file anylonger).

However, I have a problem, since my uv file has 64 IFs of 64 channels each, which ammount to 64 FREQID's. But it seems that TYAPL only works on one FREQID at a time.
How can I use TYAPL to apply it to all FREQIDs, and end up with one uvfile with all corrections and flagging applied, for all 64 IFs?

Thanks
Jose
