I am fairly amazed that you got this far.  The error implies some sort
of end-of-file in a read but why POPSGN would be doing that I do
not know.  Did FILAIP run okay?  What does ls -l look like in $DA00
and $TSTMEM?  Did the compiler generate lots of warning messages?

I do not know if I can test things with this compiler - if I will be allowed
to try it - our gfortran is back at 4.1.2 and is known to be a failure.
