I cannot make it fail on either my Mac or my Linux box.
What has it done before it "hangs" on Mac and disappears
on ubuntu?  It is supposed to start by loading IN2NAME
to the TV display and inviting you to do a TVFID on the image
(A for transfer, B zoom, D exit this step) followed by a blotch
setting (A repeatedly to set corners, B, C, D to end this region,
D to exit blotch setting) followed by a confirmation on your xterm
(REDO to do more, quit to quit, return to go on).  Then it is
supposed to tell you what it has found in the blotch map (#2)
and in each channel of INNAME.  It shows this on the xterm
with DOCRT 1.
