Multi-terabyte disks are pretty cheap these days so
we are not used to such questions....

FITLD reads normal FITS files with no editing so
you must read the full file.  If it is a FITS-IDI
file (direct from DiFX) then the SOURCES adverb
does apply and you can restrict the loading.
