New Staff Reply: Problem with SPLIT

Sorry for the delay responding:

Your source 4 has a CALCODE (D) but that is okay even though it is
rather strange.

There are several reasons for the # visibilities to become less.
1. Flags could account for that. The EVLA records data at all
times so a large number of visibilities are flagged for "off
source" while the telescopes are driving to the source. Also
you may have done other flagging. To see if this is the cause
you could run UVCOP on the data set (input to SPLIT) with
FLAGVER set to the highest flag table version and no other adverbs set.

2. Calibration. If the calibration has failed at times, the data
affected will be deleted in SPLIT - SPLIT writes a summary of this
at the end.

I was worried that the CL table is not updated by DSORC - but if that
mattered you would have had almost no output instead of a significant
but seemingly incomplete output.
