SERCH was first written by Juan Uson so I googled "SERCH" Uson
(the quotes were to prevent SERCH -> search) and found a thesis defense 
by Eric Miller that mentioned SERCH with reference Uson 1991.  The ADS 
gives several publications with Juan as primary author and I did not 
find SERCH in any of the 2-3 I fetched.  Perhaps an e-mail to Juan would 
be good.  He might be reachable still at juson at nrao.edu but perhaps that 
has expired.
