New Staff Reply: Text installation of AIPS on Ubuntu 11.04 (gcc,gforgran 4.5.2)

Are the changes you have made to OMFIT suitable for general distribution.
I am under pressure to work on OMFIT or move some very messy math to UVFIT.
I thought maybe OMFIT would be more profitable.  I looked at the math parts
and I suspect Ketan did a better job with them than the non-math parts.
