New Staff Reply: errors building AIPS

I will probably try a build on Mt Lion soon and
will look into this.  It is an insane requirement
that you are encountering and I have to believe
that there are options in the compiler to turn off 
such detailed REQUIRED type matching.  I would not
even know how to code with such a requirement!
