Okay thanks. I was going to add that the problem does not seem to be linked to magic value blanks, as there are none in these images. For example, the original header shows:

AIPS 1: Image=MIRA-H2O  (MA)         Filename=MIRA_1208 K .PADIM .   1
AIPS 1: Telescope=VLA                Receiver=VLA
AIPS 1: Observer=AK585               User #= 2086
AIPS 1: Observ. date=08-DEC-2004     Map date=01-AUG-2012
AIPS 1: Minimum=-4.46276379E+00      Maximum= 6.55400781E+03 JY/B*M/S

While the output from HGEOM shows:

AIPS 1: Image=MIRA-H2O  (MA)         Filename=JUNK        .HGEOM .   1
AIPS 1: Telescope=VLA                Receiver=VLA
AIPS 1: Observer=AK585               User #= 2086
AIPS 1: Observ. date=08-DEC-2004     Map date=01-AUG-2012
AIPS 1: Minimum= 3.14089282E+03      Maximum= 3.14089282E+03 JY/B*M/S

Also, this only started happening in the past couple of days (outputs from HGEOM created last week were fine).
