New Staff Reply: low frequency data reduction in aips - problem doing calib

I do not understand the CCEDT step. IMAGR is used to find sources
and it creates a CC file version 1 for each facet. It is not necessary
to edit that result, but if you do then you need to produce a CC file
version 2 for every facet. If CALIB were a bit smarted it might be able
to use the highest CC version for each facet - but that would mean using
edited files for the "good" facets and unedited files for the others which
is not what you want. Perhaps you should use the FLUX option instead of
CCEDT to limit which CC components enter into the self-cal.
