New Staff Reply: Extension Tables after loading archival EVLA data with AIPS

The "secret" route is fully described in Appendix E.
It is the BDF2AIPS use of the OBIT software package.
Management (some of them) seem to distrust this and
so refuse to allow it to be on the archive web page.
It is possible to take the ASDM/BDF format data and
have it in a tar file. If you install OBIT at home
(easy on LINUX, hard on Macs) then you can run the
BDF2AIPS from this ASDM/BDF. Then you will get FG
tables with on-line flags, an SY table, etc etc as
described in Appendix E.

In other words, I do not like secrets.

FILLM is for the old "ModComp" format VLA data not the
new ASDM/BDF EVLA data.

Without the OBIT route (which by the way is faster too)
you will not have the SY tables.
