Hmmmm, the MSGSRV appears as a window but the TV and TEKserver appear as icons.  Could it be that the TV (and TEKserver) is appearing as an icon(s) that you do not recognize?  One thing to try is once you start AIPS you can do a "ps -elf" (or similar) in another window and see if there is XAS running, if it is running then the TV should be there.
