New Staff Reply: AIPS "FILE MISSING" 

CB*.0U7\; does not show the file and
CBD00L*.0U* does show it.

This leaves me with the conclusion that the file name is
CBD00L001.0U followed by a bad character followed by a
back-space character followed by the 7 and the semi-colon.
Now what to do to rescue the situation?  Try

ls -l CBD00L001.0U*L\;

If that shows the file do

mv CBD00L001.0U*L\; CBD00L001.0UL\; 

with no errors in typing.
