[daip] vlbautil fails

[Emmanuel Momjian]

We are getting the following failure in AIPS's VLBAUTIL on my students
workstation (called sum-smerrima). I am unable to produce this error
on my own workstation.

Would you look into this and let me know what we should do to fix this problem?
