[daip] AIPS TV depth problem on MacBook Pro

Dear Eric,

thank you for your prompt reply. I have done all modifications you suggest
(and that are on the website!) without effect... I even re-installed the
31DEC11 version of AIPS (binary, network, I had to specify the AIPS host as
LOCALHOST, what I did not do previously) but the No TrueColor and the Shared
memory failure are still there (and the TV is not...). Below the startup
messages:

I cannot find the way to 1) change the display depth, and 2) to make the
changes to the sysctl.conf file effetive. Any more idea?
