[daip] POPSGN issue

Hi,

We have been installing the new AIPS using a binary install on two 
machines here and have the same issue arising with both. One machine has 
had AIPS in the past with the latest being 31DEC08, the other machine has 
not previously had AIPS. Installation seems to go ok up to:

Starting up POPSGN (RELEASE OF 31DEC11)
/crazyhorse/usr/local/AIPS/31DEC11/LINUX/LOAD/POPSGN.EXE: 
/lib/tls/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.4' not found (required by 
/crazyhorse/usr/local/AIPS/31DEC11/LINUX/LOAD/POPSGN.EXE)

After sourcing  the LOGIN.CSH there is an error message:

AIPS1: /lib/tls/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.4' not found (required by 
AIPS1)

Checking the library:
