Why are you compiling the code yourself?  Are you going to develop your 
own AIPS tasks?

If not

perl install.pl -n

will do a binary install which will make executables that run faster 
than those compiled with GNU compilers.

The failure was in building the pre-processor - a failure that occurred 
before any of the messages you sent.  The Fortran cannot be compiled 
without a working pre-processor.
