[daip] Problem with "MATCH"

Hi DAIP,
Below is a screen capture of MATCH failing to do what was expected by Mark
Reid, cc'ed above. I don't see any obvious driver errors here, but maybe
MATCH was not designed to be used with such different data sets.
The more fundamental problem of how to prevent the antenna ordering issues
is something that I am thinking about and may contact you later with some
suggestions...

Subject: [Fwd: Re: BR145AH]
Walter,
We have (again) hit the problem that the VLBA correlator can produce data
sets with different antenna numbering for the same observation.
In the past, we have been able to run MATCH and fix things up, albeit with a
cost in analysis time.
For BR145AH, however, we seem stuck. We have continuum data correlated with 16
channels that have different antennas (even one missing) compared to the maser
line data with 512 channels. See the aborted run of MATCH listed below. Any
advice?
Looking to the future, is there any way for our VLBA-only observations that we
could get a fixed antenna numbering system. That would avoid problems when
someone doesn't catch different antenna numberings and totally screws things
up. Even if we catch these problems, it does complicate data processing. We
are trying to automate things and "little" problems like these do cause trouble
and extra work.
Mark
