This does not seem to be an error in the AIPS or CASA software.

Both of your K band data sets have antenna 5 very weak (about 10^(-5)
while others are 10^(-2)) in the opening 3C286 real scan.  The phases
for antenna 5 and for all antennas 18 and higher are essentially random
but amplitudes for the latter (in POSSM) seem normal.  In later scans,
e.g. your last calibrator, the data look as good as they are supposed
to look.

I am closing this ticket but forwarding the correspondence to EVLA
commissioning folks.
