Seems having our computer on a wireless connection is causing  
trouble...the original perl script I tried to use I got from our  
professor, but when I opened it on a different computer & copied &  
pasted, it was fine. I had to download the tar file to another  
computer & scp it over, so hopefully the installation will go ok!
