[daip] FITS tapes and Stokes Parameters

Dear Designated Aipser:

A while ago I made some FITS tapes with FITAB and today restored the
files to disk. However, I'm getting an "incompatible Stokes Parameters"
message from LISTR/MATX or POSSM. The only way I can do anything with
the data is to say STOKES='I'.

The data is RCP and LCP and the header says it has STOKES=2.

I did notice that the Stokes Coord vlaue is 1.0 and the Coord incr is
3.0. This looks wrong. Is it, and, if so, is this a bug in FITAB or
FITLD? Can it be fixed with PUTH, and, if so, what values should I
"put"?

Sincerely,
Mark
