This is a change I did recently - perhaps I should try to catch the 
"stop cleaning" hit more deeply.  Right now when Clean ends normally and 
you have asked for a filter "weak, isolated" components. it does the 
filter and then restarts the Clean in case the filter really made a 
difference in the normal stopping criteria.  Even the "stop cleaning" TV 
button could be interpreted as - it looks done - and after a filtering 
it may no longer look done.  Note that many people use this solely to 
remove all areas of negative (which is a dubious thing to do) and that 
may well make bright ridges around sources that will need to be cleaned 
further...

It would honor your stop cleaning if you had not asked for a filter and 
will only do the restart once.
