I was surprised to see that we got 10% performance on Y2K with the most 
recent Intel for 64-bit Linux.  In addition, it will allow wider dynamic 
memory usage.  I was shocked to see that I was using 1.3g in FRING for 
what is a "small" EVLA problem.  And that included only 20 Mbytes in 
pseudo AP.

NRAO has - at the aoc anyway - switched almost all computers.
