It would help us to figure out what is happening - the /tmp file should 
be there for a while but then disappear.  It is definitely there when 
things work.  Note that I cannot ship the latest file to everyone all 
the time - this file is maintained by others and this download 
capability is used elsewhere in AIPS as well (TECOR, CLCOR for polar 
wander).

Of course, you should never apply VLANT twice to the same data set.

I suspect that there is something trashed about the downloaded file - 
perhaps you have a firewall or something getting in the way.
