The messages I need to see are those that appear when you start up aips. The message you sent say that XAS is not running but not why that might be. Can you send me all the messages from the "aips tv=local" command to after you have entered your user number? Is this a binary or locally-compiled installation and is it on Linux or Macs? Eric Greisen
